Process

Each relief is made in a hand build casting mold, that assemblies a story from carved silhouettes.  The casting mold is later waxed  and captures a liquid material into the solid memory of that moment and gets lost in the process.

The object further unfolds through carving and several steps and hours of sanding, allowing the sweeping motion of the hand to be the process. The eye and sensitivity of the hand defines the silhouettes and volume.

It’s most essential that each object tells its own story in the form of uniqueness and acquire its own expression, emphasizing the essence of the materials texture, tactility and the radiance of the alabaster plaster.
